Wolf Creek Dirt Works is an excavation contractor serving Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, and the area around it. We get land ready to build on, and we build the driveways and roads that reach it. We work for rural property owners and for people building a new home on a lot or acreage. Cabin and lake-property owners call us too, and so do builders and businesses.
Wolf Creek is Klint Wylie's company, and it started in 2003. The area is rural, and many of the people we work for buy anywhere from 10 to 1,000 acres. Some of that land comes with a house, and some is bare ground. We take on the work from clearing the building site to installing the septic system.
For a new home, the builder builds the house, and our site preparation gets the ground ready for it. For a paved driveway, we bring the base up close to grade. We call that a brush finish. A paving company then does the last inch or two and lays the asphalt.
Wolf Creek is fully licensed, insured and bonded, and certified in septic system installation and erosion control. We work about 50 miles around Sturgeon Lake, from Duluth south to Pine City and Mora. See the towns in our service area, or call or text (218) 820-9653 for a free estimate.

We can line up a septic designer, or we install to the design you already have. Then an inspector checks the work.

We come out and look over the land and the work you want done. Wet ground and thick woods both change the plan, so we see them first.
We put a free estimate in writing for the work. You read it over and decide when you are ready.
Before any digging, a locate ticket goes in through Gopher State One Call (811). Septic work waits for the designer's plan and the permit.
We do the work with heavy equipment and clean up the debris at the end. Then the site is ready for the next trade, like the builder or the paving company.
